Communication is one of the most important skills we can learn. Good communication improves our relationships, but also makes our conversations with others more pleasant and less stressful.
Especially conversations about politics, religion, and other topics where people tend to disagree.
Why We Need Conscious Communication
Arguing never works.
And by “works,” I mean that it never builds relationships or connects us to others. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Even if you are “right” and “win” the argument in the end, no one feels good. Arguments and the “me vs you” mindset does not solve problems.
Nor does it foster communication.
That kind of aggression only drives us further apart.
There is a better way to communicate
There is an answer to navigating differences in political beliefs.
To the “us vs them” mentality.
To preventing heated arguments.
The solution is Conscious Communication.
My latest blog post on Conscious Company will introduce you to this more peaceful style of communication that leaves you feeling peaceful and happy rather than angry and victimized.
